Reduce Carrier Waiting Times and Eliminate Overflow

The most significant feature of the new warehouse, which can accommodate approximately 13,000 pallets, is substantial improvement in collection efficiency for transport companies thanks to the introduction of the Rotary Racks. These racks feature an image recognition system that enables fully automated banding, using cameras to detect whether cardboard cases lack plastic bands and applying them as needed.

Previously, goods awaiting collection would remain on the warehouse floor, reducing operational efficiency. With the Rotary Rack, items are temporary stored and automatically retrieved according to each carrier’s scheduled collection times, streamlining the handover process. This not only prevents overflows within the warehouse but also reduce waiting times for delivery companies. Initially, four delivery companies will be used, with plans to expand coverage following further testing. Full-scale operations are expected to further boost the efficiency of both collection and transportation.

Contribution to streamlining the Receiving Process

The new system also improves the efficiency of receiving goods. Previously, products that had already been ordered by customers at the time of arrival had to be temporarily stored on the Warehouse floor, separately from stock items. Now, the new warehouse has introduced a new outbound system that allows all incoming goods to be temporarily stored in the automated warehouse upon arrival, with only the ordered items retrieved later for dispatch. This system not only streamlines the receiving process but also contributes to reducing floor stock levels.

The new warehouse commenced receiving goods from 14 October. This advancement eliminates the need for temporary storage and reduces waiting time for carriers, resulting in greater efficiency across both inbound and outbound logistics
