Commissioner of the Anti-Dumping Commission, have initiated an investigation following an application lodged by BlueScope Steel Limited (the Applicant), a manufacturer of certain flat rolled steel products (the goods) in Australia. The application seeks the publication of a dumping duty notice in respect to the goods exported to Australia from the People’s Republic of China (China) and Republic of Korea (Korea), and a countervailing duty notice in respect to the goods exported to Australia from China.

The goods, being the subject of the application (the goods) are: Flat rolled products, of non-alloy or other alloy steel (excluding stainless steel, silicon-electrical steel, tool steel, and high-speed steel), not clad, plated, or coated, not in coils, with a thickness equal to or greater than 4.75 millimetres, of widths greater than or equal to 600 millimetres, with or without patterns in relief.
