A Century Old Tradition in the Distribution of Fastening Components

Berardi has been distributing fasteners and screws for five generations and has always been known for the high quality of its customer service.

The business began in 1919 with a small shop in Piazza Maggiore in Bologna. In 1960, the shop became a distribution company and moved to a large equipped warehouse. In the ‘80s, the company makes its entry into the domestic market, being appreciated in the industrial field of medium and large Italian companies.
The rising turnover volumes, the quality requirements and the increasing demand of customized services over the years require new facilities with suitable warehouses and continual organizational and capital investments.

In 2006, thanks to the acquisition of historic competitors, the group becomes one of the largest Fasteners distributors within the domestic market.

Today, at the fifth family generation, Berardi operates in its new 11,000 square meters facility and keeps growing while looking beyond Italian borders. Berardi has 12 branches and 2 companies in Italy. It expands its foreign presence with its branches in Morocco and Croatia.

Berardi Fasteners’s mission is to support customers in breaking down the overall cost of procurement and it achieves this by suggesting and sharing technical solutions, developing innovative services that cut management costs and offering an ever wider range of products allowing customers to reduce the number of suppliers.

Automotive Fastening Systems

Berardi offers a wide range of products and its technical expertise for the Automotive sector, gained by working with major producers of cars, motorcycles, trucks, trailers, suspension systems, and accessories.

Berardi provides custom solutions, specially developed for the needs of automotive products. Quick fastening systems with high resistance to mechanical stress and vibrations (e.g. for suspensions and shafts), or custom-sized nuts and screws, are just a few examples.

Particularly relevant to the automotive sector is the capability to offer a wide selection of specific surface coatings, including Geomet and Deltaprotekt, as well as various topcoats that enhance corrosion resistance or reduce surface friction.

In addition to surface coatings, Berardi can supply thread locking applications, which prevent loosening of the fasteners even under severe vibrations.

Serial production requires constant and reliable parts supplies. Spot-on logistics services are a crucial factor to ensure the smooth management of stocks and supplies.

With this in mind, Berardi’s B-Lean Factory Systems team was created. Their role is to develop tailor-made logistics solutions, based on the client’s specific needs in terms of production chain, internal procedures and production line layout. The objective of Berardi’s Kanban services is to optimize the whole supply and production chain, to prevent stock shortages, and subsequently avoid production stops.

The quality of Berardi’s services is appreciated by over 6.000 clients, spanning from world-famous car and motorcycle brands, to major producers of power transmission systems, and international companies that specialize in the production of LPG and methane distribution systems.  

B-LEAN Factory Systems: Berardi’s New Logistics Division

Berardi offers technical solutions and innovative, personalized services to cut management costs, allowing our partners to reduce the number of suppliers they have to manage. The company is well equipped to assist the client choose the best item for their needs, thanks to its specialized technical staff. Berardi’s  internal quality assurance department is among the best-equipped in its sector, and guarantees each item is controlled, as well as post-sales support. The objective is to offer a complete and punctual service, becoming a partner for its clients.

2020 has pushed companies to develop new strategies. Berardi has inaugurated 2021 with a renewal of its logistics division, under the new “B-Lean Factory Systems” monicker. After 100 years, Berardi is still expanding its item assortment (over 50.000 stock items), having launched a whole new product catalogue Extracomponents in 2020, which includes springs, fittings, clamps, cable management items, antivibration mounts, operating parts, and more.

The B-Lean team develops customized logistics solutions for clients that demand flexibility, reliability and quick responses even to the most complex requirements.

The mission of the Berardi Group is to become a full supplying partner for its clients, offering a 360° service. The B-Lean division will target wasteful processes along the supply chain, allowing clients to forget the fuss of managing C-parts. Today, the team can use the experience gained with over 400 active lean supply systems.

•      EasySelf-24: an automatic vending machine that allows you to manage a variety of tools, PPE, and other items in minimal space. EasySelf24 is a safe and customizable distribution machine, capable to store consumables and reusable items, small and large.
