The Italian machine technology and tool association ASCOMUT returns to MECSPE in Bologna next March 5–7 for the 19th year with the “ASCOMUT Village” to offer a comprehensive overview of product and service offerings from the world of machine tools, tooling, and measuring and control instrumentation;
In the upcoming edition of the manufacturing fair, the Village will present the “We are Champions of Synergies” initiative focused on cross-industry collaboration to meet the challenges of an ever-changing market;
The industry is gearing up for a good year: the report of the European Machine Tools, Tooling and Technologies trade association, CELIMO, predicts growth for the Italian industry in 2025 and forecasts growth, although more moderate, for the cutting tools market as well.
From Europe come encouraging forecasts for the Italian machine tool industry, which will return to positive signs after a year full of challenges. According to the report by CELIMO, the European Machine Tool, Tooling and Technology Trade Association, 2025 will be a year of growth for the industry: forecasts indicate that Italy will, in fact, be the country with the highest growth in Europe. Besides Italy, other countries with rising forecasts are Finland and the UK. The report also indicates the forecast for the cutting tool market as positive: 2025 will be a good year in Italy, with a slight growth that will reverse the trend of the closing year
Against this backdrop, ASCOMUT, the Association representing companies in the import and distribution of machine tools, tooling, workshop equipment, measuring and control instruments, and chemicals for production and maintenance, is preparing to return for the 19th year to MECSPE, the leading manufacturing industry trade show organised by SENAF, to be held in Bologna March 5-7, 2025. The association will be present at the next edition of MECSPE with the “ASCOMUT Village,” an area to display and share the most innovative solutions in the industry, but also to foster dialogue and collaboration among companies in the sector.
In particular, this year’s ASCOMUT Village will present the “Champions of Synergies” initiative, a project that highlights exemplary experiences of companies that have made synergy and digital integration, technological experimentation and co-creation of tailor-made solutions, and business-to-business collaboration the cornerstones of their growth. Indeed, the companies involved not only share expertise and resources but also develop processes that optimise efficiency and reduce waste. Sharing of knowledge, commitment to sustainability, and continuous improvement of technological and customized solutions demonstrate how synergy becomes a transformative value, capable of responding to the challenges of an ever-changing market. The project aims to serve as a model of collaborative innovation, where the combination of different skills and experiences generates value for the entire industry.
“MECSPE is where companies meet, compare, and build synergies to face future challenges together. The participation of ASCOMUT, with its Village, for the 19th year, is a confirmation of the value of this event as a unique opportunity for the industry to network, share experiences and discover how innovation can be driven by collaboration,” says Maruska Sabato, MECSPE project manager. “Working closely with ASCOMUT is key to amplifying synergies between companies and highlighting best practices that can inspire the entire industry”
“According to the association, “The ASCOMUT Village at MECSPE is not only an opportunity to present synergies between companies but also represents a key venue for the entire industry. MECSPE is a crucial meeting point for machine tool professionals, a unique opportunity to make connections, share experiences and foster innovation. In fact, the ‘We are Synergy Champions’ initiative powerfully brings out the human dimension of these collaborations, where trust and the desire to innovate together are the real drivers of success. In such a competitive and ever-changing environment, a space fostering collaboration between different realities is essential to meet future challenges and grow our industry together”
The MECSPE exhibition, focusing on sustainability, innovation, and education, is a must-attend event for the manufacturing sector. A unique opportunity to foster a meeting of industry best practices and the most innovative solutions, involving all key players in change. In this context, ASCOMUT’s participation, with its commitment to promoting synergy among businesses, will be a key element in the success of the 2025 edition.
The next edition of MECSPE will be held March 5–7, 2025, in conjunction with METEF.
